As many people know, I have taped hundreds of high quality shows of taper friendly bands since the early 80s and need an "upload master" to put them on etree or Archive (to the extent they are not already there) to help spread these recordings on the net.
Anyone who takes on the job gets free CDs of all these shows. Anyone willing to take on the project please email me at

Phish & WSP, have specifically opted out of the Live Music Archive and their shows are not allowed to be uploaded here.

The Other Ones and The Dead have never specifically said no, but have never granted permission either. Requests for an official response have never been answered. So they are not allowed at this time until band management contacts Archive.org granting permission.

Ratdog, Moe, and Phil are all OK as each band's management have contacted Archive.org and granted permission. Each have their own restrictions listed in the policy notes for each band.

Grateful Dead shows are allowed, but the collection is not open to public uploads. All sources are filtered through the GDIAP, you can read about it here, http://www.archive.org/about/faqs.php#245
and here

If you have Grateful Dead masters that you want to share, you should contact Matt Vernon who is leading the GDIAP effort.

All the bands listed above are ok to be seeded over on etree's bit torrent site and added to the etree database. Hopefully someone will step up and work with you on getting them out there. I'd love to see them get into circulation, but can't commit myself.

I spoke to most of the members of The Other Ones who said that they didn't care about the TOO shows being on the archive. I have never received any official statement from management though.

OK thanks. If you find anyone willing to help the cause, let me know. I have many gems. A bunch of my masters from 85-89 are already on Archives posted by other people. But I have a tone more of many many bands.
